Canadian Transplant Deanna Devore Makes Chicago Debut Tonight

Deanna Devore is a talented young female singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Toronto. After spending a short stint in Chicago earlier this year, it looks as though the songstress is looking to make the Windy City more of a permanent home (at least for the next few months), as she has gigs booked through 2008 here in the city.

Tonight, June 28, Devore will introduce herself to the Wicker Park neighborhood with a debut performance at The Note. It's a bit of a warm up gig (she's been rehearsing with a new band for the past few weeks) before she begins an extended residency at the Funky Buddah Lounge.

I've been lucky enough to be on the receiving end of some of her latest demo recordings and they're definitely enough to get excited about. Maybe I'll post of 'em for you tomorrow.
