Bush VETOES Child Health Insurance Bill



Damn...even some of the Republicans are speaking out against Dubya.

Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah was among those Republicans who split from the president. "It's very difficult for me to be against a man I care so much for," he told his colleagues on the Senate floor before the vote. "It's unfortunate that the president has chosen to be on what, to me, is clearly the wrong side of this issue."

There are some legitimate concerns with the bill, but it is surprising that a guy that is all about protecting unborn fetuses and the use of their stem cells would be against a bill that helps the little wee ones...that are ALIVE. Sigh.
