CIFF 2007: Day Eight - Grace Is Gone

John Cusack was at the Music Box Theatre Friday for his new film Grace Is Gone. He also received a Gold Hugo Award for Career Achievement.

Cusack stars as a home supply store manager who learns his wife was killed in Iraq. Instead of telling his two young daughters (Shélan O'Keefe and Gracie Bednarczyk) about their mother, he takes them on a road trip to a theme park in Florida.

I had a chance to talk to Cusack that morning. He's still depressed about the Cubs losing.

Grace Is Gone's release date is still TBD.
