STAY SMOOTH VI: LAST OF THE SMOOTH-HICANS

Before indie remixes, electro bangers and mash-ups, there was...really smooth music. Think Steely Dan, Toto, Boz Scaggs, Feist, 10cc, Phoenix, Michael McDonald, ELO and then some. And before you think "damn, that all sounds just plain awful," just remember that you likely sing to a majority of these artists when they come on the radio. Served!

The story goes like this: in the aftermath of Stay Smooth V, only two Smooth-hicans remained, Bald Eagle (of Life During Wartime) and DJ STV SLV (of The Hood Internet). The last of the Smooth-hicans decided to set sail from their former home of Schubas Upstairs on a pilgrimage to find smoother lands. Their voyage brought them somewhere close, yet worlds away: Schubas' main music room, where they met and introduced themselves to a fantastic band called Bronze. These two disparate entities joined forces to create a musical feast of smooth proportions, now known to the world as Thanksmoothing. Experience Thanksmoothing for yourself at Stay Smooth VI on Saturday, November 17 with Bronze and the last known residents of Smoothica, BLD EGL and Steve Sleeve. Like every previous Stay Smooth joint, smooth attire is both suggested and requested - captain's hats, knee high socks, jean shorts, tight jeans, cat sweaters, sandals, mustaches, feathered hair, etc. Need more help...just think Yacht Rock

STAY SMOOTH: A night dedicated to 70s AM Gold, 80s FM Rock & contemporary smooth gems

XOXO, Bald Eagle
