Murder Mystery

I'm usually the type of gal who arrives to a show a little late to miss some opening band I don't care about, build my street cred, etc. But every so often I come across a band worth coming early for. This Thursday, that band will be Murder Mystery. I'm all for creative expression and making abstract music, but sometimes I crave a no-frills pop song that makes me want to dance. Drum beats reminiscent of British invasion hits of the '60s, catchy baselines and well crafted melody mold together to form Murder Mystery's upbeat, old-school sound. Julian Casablancas-like vocals makes Murder Mystery a Beatles/Television/Strokes hybrid guaranteed to get your toes tapping. And not just your toes, my mom is going to love these guys!
