Rirkrit Tiravanija at the Chicago Cultural Center Tonight

Art world star and SAIC alum Rirkrit Tiravanija will present a survey of his work tonight at the Chicago Cultural Center, from his first food-based work preparing pad-thai for gallery visitors to his co-creation of the Land Project, a self-sustaining artists’ community in Chiang Mai, Thailand . Tiravanija is known for pushing the boundaries of art, institutions and audience expectations, often depending on social interaction, which should make for a memorable evening.
