Uno workin' on his fitness
It all started Valentine's Day in fifth grade. I'd just gotten a candygram from my crush when I got sick. And every year from 1995 through 2003, I got sick on or immediately surrounding Valentine's Day.
But you know what? I was OK with it. Because I had good company on those many sick days at home: dogs. And not just my own yellow Lab -- the dogs of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Tonight marks the closing night of the 2008 competition, and rumor has it this cute lil guy above, Uno, may be the first beagle to ever take Best in Show. Apparently he's the badass of the bunch this year, wanting to play and howl more than strut his stuff. Which is why we're rooting for him. - Kim

Still not as cute as lil' Gus. If only I didn't get him neutered, he coulda been a contender!
