While you were freezing ...

New York Fashion Week is winding down -- even the interns are bitching that they're tired -- but Chicago designer Cyndi Chan's in full effect. The creator of the ORi'EN line arrived this mid-morning to catch the last two days of America's most fabulous trade show. Could she be scouting ideas for her own Bryant Park debut? Just in case, snap up one of her lovely black satin trench coats tied up with a big bow at Macy's on State Street right now (they've already sold out once!). Or wait for the waterproof version, in white twill with navy piping or tan twill with white piping. Speaking of Fashion Week, Tyson Beckford gum-chewed his way through Reem Acra this afternoon, and Elle/Project Runway star Nina Garcia (always chic in basic black) checked out Rachel Zoe's oversized clutch while waiting for the Bill Blass show to start (was it her own design? not sure -- no gold snake embellishments visible). Speaking of Blass, go buy that trench and then start saving up for something Blass. Peter Som's first effort to revive the borderline old-lady label rocked. the. planet. It's the stuff you buy and wear forever (if you can afford it, that is). All that, and Som's kind of a hottie! -- Jenny B. Davis
