Oh Cookie Cookie Cookie Starts With "C"

Photobucket

Good news for all of our gluten-intolerant friends! Just when you thought you were doomed to a life of bland, tasteless cardboard because your body isn’t down with gluten, Whole Bakers introduces a line of gluten-free cookies that actually taste like cookies (and not cardboard). I just might be the pickiest eater in Chicago so me praising this line is a pretty big deal. Be warned: some flavors have a healthy, organic aftertaste but overall the line is pretty tasty. The Rockin Choco Chip was not so rockin (it has that healthy aftertaste I mentioned) but the SnickerDos and Sugar Drops weren’t bad. By far, the stand-out flavor is Chewy Choco Bite which by no means lacks chocolate flavor (I even had seconds, so you know it's yummy). If those you who can eat gluten are feeling left out, Whole Bakers says their cookies also target those merely craving an exceptionally healthy product.
If you in fact craving these healthy, gluten-free treats you can purchase them online wholebakers.com or by calling 773-742-1834. Starting in April Deerfields Bakery shops will be carrying the cookies as well. -Sara
