Goose Island brewpub to close

By the end of the year, Goose Island will close its original brewpub at 1800 N Clybourn after 20 years at the location. The Chicago-based company is unable to renew its lease. There is some good news though: Goose Island's Wrigleyville brewpub at 3535 N Clark as well as the Fulton Street Brewery at 1800 W Fulton will remain open. -Diana

It's going to suck that the birthplace of Goose Island's soul is going to close its door. I spent 6 months helping the folks at Goose and all the while, the issue with the brewpub was eating at their very core. What I can say is that the soul of the brewery rests with John and Greg Hall.
Although the brewpub has its memories, the keepers of the faith are loyal to their liquid..and they're not going anywhere.
