MP3 -- Mary Onettes "Lost"

A new Swedish band is making waves over in Europe and we just got their self-titled debut and I'm loving it. The album was released last year on iconic Swedish label Labrador, which really only produces pretty kick ass bands (they are the self-proclaimed "world's finest purveyor of pop music" after all). The music is confidently pop and deliciously new wave. Influences of Joy Division, early New Order and Stone Roses abound and don't discount shoe-gazer comparisons. The band hits the US next month for a slew of shows, including one night at Chicago's Beat Kitchen on May 15.

Get a taste now. Listen to the upbeat, dreamy Lost -- Ari
