Airplanes, hamsters and Viagra
With everyone planning getaways in the next couple of months, here’s a weird fact that may perplex you (and possibly your Generalist): A study at the National Academy of Science just showed that, aside from its more recreational uses, sildenafil (better known to aging amorists as Viagra) has shown to combat the effects of jetlag. Actually, the researchers only found that Viagra alters a hamster’s “internal clock,” and no human study has been tried yet.
