Get Ready for Hot Puppet Sex: Avenue Q is Coming!

After more than 1500 performances on Broadway, the salaciously hilarious Tony award-winning musical Avenue Q is finally heading to Chicago. This puppet-based show (operated by on-stage human handlers) is a parody (homage?) of (to?) Sesame Street, with certain characters (roommates Rod and Nicky; Trekkie Monster, etc.) mirroring those on the popular kids show. The big difference comes in the content. The show is set in rundown buildings in outer New York City and the characters, in their 20s and 30s, tackle adult themes like making a living, racism, porn and gay sex -- not to mention full-frontal puppet nudity. Critics have hailed this as one of the funniest musicals of all time. Get your tickets now for the May 21-June 7 run at Cadillac Palace. -- Ari
