In case you've missed the news coverage, there are a couple elections taking place on Tuesday. With Giuliani and Edwards dropping out today, now is a great time to take a closer look at some of the candidates, including those running for offices other than president. A good place to start is Jen Does Politics, an awesome little blog by UR Chicago contributor (and all-around do-gooder) Jennifer Lizak outlining her highly informed picks for everyone from president to ward committeeman. My personal favorite: Ed Smith, a candidate running for Recorder of Deeds who advocates eliminating the office. -Ben
