Hi!

Eric Elbogen, aka Say Hi (formerly Say Hi to Your Mom), has a lot on his plate in addition to the multiple monikers. His fifth record, The Wishes and the Glitch, hits shelves in February of next year, and along with the name change comes a change of scenery (he recently left NYC for Seattle) and a newer, more serious approach to songwriting. "I wanted the record to be a start of a new chapter, and the songs from the new record reflect this," Elbogen explains a few miles from the Canadian border mid-tour. Planning on spending his day off enjoying Montreal, he is thrilled with how the tour is going and is looking forward to getting to Chicago: "It reminds me of New York but only 80 percent as hectic." Eric and a full backing band will be showcasing the new mature side of Say Hi Friday, Nov. 9 at Subterranean. Make sure and arrive early for the explosive and always exciting Velvet Teen! - B. Nanna
