If I Had a Million Dollars...

Photobucket

This morning on the Today Show I learned about one of the coolest events ever: The Pugliese Pop Culture Collection. Hundreds of items important to pop culture will be auctioned off in Vegas March 15-16. Categories range from JFK to Houdini to Movies and items include everything from the wedding dress Madonna wore in the "Like a Virgin" video to the gun Jack Ruby used to kill Lee Harvey Oswald. There are hundreds of opportunities for rich people to blow their money on useless crap, but this auction is in actuality AWESOME! Seeing as I am a young, broke yet fabulous college student I will not be partaking in this event. But if I did have a spare million lying around, I would spend it on Michael Keaton's Batman suit or the whip from Raiders of the Lost Ark (sigh, Harrison Ford you will never be too old for me to find you attractive). So if you're free in mid-March and have thousands of dollars to spend, you should definitely head to Vegas to check out this auction. And remember folks, my birthday is March 11 and there's no better way to wish a young intern a happy 21st birthday than buying her a piece of pop culture history (I'd also be happy with suits worn by the Beatles or Elton John's sunglasses)! -Sara
